Women encounter many challenges when trying to start or grow a business. One of the most difficult tasks for any female entrepreneur is to raise funds for her venture. To better equip women to access finance, SheTrades Invest offers a wide range of capacity building activities to increase women’s financial and managerial capacities.
Raising Funds for your Business
SheTrades put together this practical guide that helps women develop a better understanding of their financing landscape, how to assess their financial needs, the process of identifying the right financial institutions and of how to recognize financial instruments based on their business needs. The guide covers nine topics, from understanding financial needs to managing negotiations with capital providers as well as the post-financing phase. We highly encourage all women entrepreneurs to read this guide and/or take the E-learning course!

In-country Investment Readiness Bootcamps
Bootcamps are intensive in-country workshops aimed at providing basic business, finance, and investment knowledge. These sessions are a mix of theory and hands-on interactive practice. It also includes presentations by capital providers and networking sessions. SheTrades Invest is organizing in-person bootcamps in the following countries:
- Ghana: Accra, 24-25 July 2023
- Nigeria: Lagos, 10-11 August 2023
